Your instructor, retired Captain of Police Mike Campbell is a 28-year veteran of the City of Milwaukee Police Department, having retired as the Commanding Officer of their 55 member Identification Division. After his retirement Mike accepted a position as the Training Coordinator for Ron Smith and Associates, Inc. a forensic training and consulting company based in Collinsville, MS.

In addition to his work related practical experience coming from more than 20 years as a crime scene and fingerprint identification specialist with the department, Mike has been blessed to receive more than 1,500 hours of training in the fields of forensic identification, crime scene processing, evidence photography and crime scene and personnel management.

During his time with the department he provided much of the training for the department in these areas and has since taught well over 350 courses, workshops and in-service training programs to several thousand students in 37 states and overseas in Canada, Israel, Montenegro and Morocco. He has also lectured on these matters dozens of times for various forensic groups and conferences.

Mike has been asked to serve on many committees, panels and boards and is a past member of the FBI sponsored Scientific Working Group on Friction Skin Analysis, Study and Technology (SWGFAST), the International Association of Chief’s of Police Forensic Committee, the Board of Directors for the International Association for Identification and is the past board chair and president of the Wisconsin Association for Identification.
