You will find that there are plenty of excellent criminal justice entry level jobs available to those who are just graduating with a degree in criminal justice. In fact, there is a great deal of diversity among these jobs that might be appealing to even more people than one may have originally believed. Criminal justice is no longer a field that is limited to local law enforcement. There are all kinds of careers that can be enjoyed, many of which can be quite lucrative, by those who chose criminal justice as their field of study.

Law enforcement types of positions that are open to those just graduating criminal justice programs across the country include: bailiff, border patrol agent, corrections officer, CIA agent, Secret Service Agent, Sheriff, Deputy Marshall, Detective, Drug Enforcement Agent, FBI Agent, US Customs Agent, Military Officer, Naval Investigator, Police Officer, Probation or Parole Officer, and Public Safety Officer. Any of these positions are great for those who are interested in law enforcement careers. There are many people who seek degrees in criminal justice for the purpose of entering the law enforcement field.

There are also many great criminal justice entry level jobs that are more service oriented. These great jobs include: child support agency, juvenile court counselor, discrimination investigator, employment recruiter, park ranger, environmental conservation officers, social workers, teachers, non-profit work, and youth advocates. These positions each offer the opportunity to help other people. This is something that is important to remember when it comes to the criminal justice field. There are victims and criminals in all walks of life and it is important to work to prevent them whenever possible. Each of these positions can assist in that endeavor.

Private sector jobs in the field of criminal justice that are also suitable for those just graduating include the following: airport security officers, body guards, community service coordinators, law clerks, paralegals, litigation managers, and private security officers. Some of these positions pay more than others but almost all of them offer the opportunity to utilize your degree straight out of college and this is something that is important to those that were not fortunate enough to get an internship which provides extra training and experience that are vital when it comes to finding jobs after graduation.

If you are willing to invest a little more in your education there are other fields that are suitable for criminal justice degrees. These include the following: attorney, coroner, private investigators, police detective, private detective, law librarian, and warden. That is not to say that there aren’t many more positions and careers that may be greatly enhanced by a criminal justice degree or undergraduate studies in criminal justice. Some of them require a great deal more education in order to pursue and others may not actually require a degree at all. It is up to you to discover the specific requirements of the criminal justice career that interests you most and make sure that you meet those requirements. That being said your options when it comes to criminal justice entry level jobs are impressive.
