How It Works Why Choose RS&A FAQ's Search Jobs

HOW IT WORKS:

By maintaining the most up to date and active job placement databases around, RS & A, Inc. is primed to offer you the chance at finding employment.  By working with forensic agencies throughout the United States and abroad, we are able to locate openings not found through traditional internet job searches.

Our management staff includes career forensic professionals with numerous years of forensic laboratory management experience. We fully recognize that employers simply want the most qualified candidates to apply for their open positions, but don’t have the resources or time to seek out these highly qualified individuals. By the same token, many qualified candidates are seriously considering a job change, but don’t wish to jeopardize their current position or opportunity for advancement by publicly announcing their intentions. And then there are those individuals who are simply trying to get their foot in the door for their big shot.  Ron Smith & Associates, Inc. provides that quiet, discreet connection between the open position and the professional forensic specialist.

The first step to locating new and exciting forensic opportunities is to complete your free registration with Ron Smith and Associates Job Placement Service and post your resume (also free).

Once registered, you will have the ability to browse brief headlines for available jobs in numerous forensic disciplines and get a feel for current opportunities.  Once you locate a headline that interests you, the next step is to complete the subscription process.  A one-year subscription to the RS&A Job Placement Service gives you unlimited access to all of the details of each opportunity as outlined below:

Browse searches - You can browse through jobs in specific Forensic Disciplines by clicking on a Forensic Discipline in "Job Sections" on the job placement homepage and then clicking the "Browse Jobs" link that appears just below the keyword search field at the top of these pages. The system will then display jobs in groups of 10 jobs per page.

Advanced searches - The Advanced Search form allows you to conduct an advanced keyword search.

You can use keywords to conduct a search for jobs that contain ANY of your keywords, ALL of your keywords, or your keywords as AN EXACT PHRASE. You have the ability to specify not only things like case sensitivity, but also things like how many days back you would like to search for openings. You can specify a particular category or search on all categories.

Power searches - The Power Search form should be used to conduct database searches with specific search criteria, such as the city, annual salary, specific requirements, type of position, etc.  If you have a specific job in mind, the power search could be the answer.  The only caution here is the more you limit, the fewer responses you are going to receive.

Once you have conducted a search and have retrieved the results, you can utilize the functionality of your subscription service to view the complete details of any of the results. Using our Ron Smith & Associates Job Placement Service "Job Tracker," you will be able to save those jobs that interest you in your profile.

To assist you in finding the job you have been looking for, take advantage of our Job Alert "Search Agent," and set-up an email notification for every time a job matching your criteria is posted. You’ll be one of the first to know that an opportunity is available, thus allowing you to concentrate on what’s important… getting the job… not finding the job.

Our technical staff members here at Ron Smith & Associates, Inc. remember what it’s like to be a student, or to have graduated with a degree in hand, and yet not know where to begin to find that first opportunity in the forensic field. We know just how difficult it can be to get a foot in the door, we understand the frustration, and we believe we can help.

As we say to young potential forensic scientists when they call asking for job information, “We locate the door for you. It is your job to get your foot in it!”
