Course Description

WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS COURSE?

This comprehensive, 40-hour course is designed for crime scene investigators, detectives, crime laboratory analysts and others in the field of forensic science that have the basic training and skills for crime scene examinations. This course will assist you in connecting all of the forensic pieces for the purpose of crime scene reconstruction. A crime scene is a huge puzzle, and piece by piece we compile the physical evidence in each case. The more difficult job is to try and connect those pieces to obtain the bigger picture, the scene reconstruction.

This course is also designed to assist the student in the documentation of physical evidence at the scene which may not have been recorded in the past. Mock scenes designed for this course will be used to assist the student in understanding the importance of scene documentation, and to obtain the maximum and correct information for ultimate scene
reconstruction.
